Catch Tire Issues Before They Become Costly and Dangerous When Driving

Nan's Tires & Wheels has some tire tips for customers to catch tire issues before they make your drive unsafe and costly down the road. If you've noticed uneven wear on your tires, you may need a tire rotation. Uneven wear can be caused by:

• Too much or too little air pressure
• Problems with steering or suspension
• Problems with alignment or balancing

Signs that indicate you're going to need new tires soon include:

• Sharp objects poking into a tire including nails, screws, glass, etc
• Tread pulling away from the body of the tire
• Worn tread - Stick a penny in the tread, top first and if tread does not touch Lincoln's head, you need new tires
• Cracking or bulging tread or sidewalls indicates there is wear or a weakness in the tire
